To elect a Chairman of the Committee for the municipal year 2020/21

RESOLVED

That Councillor Jim Sanson be elected Chairman of the Committee for the ensuing Council year.

To elect a Vice - Chairman of the Committee for the municipal year 2020/21.

RESOLVED

That Councillor John Blackall be appointed Vice Chairman of the Committee for the ensuing Council year.

To approve as correct the minutes of the meeting held on 7 November 2019

(Note: If any Member wishes to propose an amendment to the minutes they should submit this in writing to committeeservices@horsham.gov.uk at least 24 hours before the meeting.  Where applicable, the audio recording of the meeting will be checked to ensure the accuracy of the proposed amendment.)

The minutes of the meeting of the Committee held on 7 November 2019 were approved as a correct record and would be signed by the Chairman at a later date.

There were no declarations of interest.

To receive any announcements from the Chairman of the Committee or the Chief Executive

The Chairman announced that John Batchelor, the previous Head of Public Health and Licencing, had recently retired from the Council after many years of service.  He expressed his gratitude for John’s professionalism and thanked him for all the discreet and helpful advice given to members of the Committee. The Chairman also welcomed the new Head of Public Health and Licensing to the post.
