Discover Horsham District (5.35pm)

The Group will receive an update from the Head of Economic Development and a demonstration of the Discover Horsham website, which is the Council’s new website for visitors to the district.

The Senior Digital Communications Officer presented the new Discover Horsham District Website to the group.

The new website had been in development for over two years with the intention of creating a website to promote Horsham District as a tourist destination from a single source.

The website had been developed in collaboration with local businesses, societies and groups and absorbed multiple outdated websites.

The Communications team would look to evolve and expand the website going forward following favourable opinions from the group.

Electric Vehicle charging points (6.05pm)

The Group will receive an update on Horsham District and West Sussex County Council developments regarding EV charging points.  This will include work completed to date, the future direction and next steps.

The Head of Parking Services provided an overview of the current electric vehicle charging points within the district and how the service would be looking to provide more availability of these points.

There would be a review of current HDC car parks to see which could support the installation of new electric vehicle charging points and a greater emphasis to install charging points within new developments.

Proposed Parking Charge changes (6.25pm)

The Head of Parking will brief the Group on the proposed parking charge changes that have been included in the Council’s Medium Term Financial Strategy 2023/24 (MTFS).  The MTFS will be considered at the Cabinet meeting on 23 January.
