The group received the notes of the previous meeting, held on 12/07/17.

To note the Forward Plan extract (if any) for the Leisure and Culture Portfolio

The group noted the contents of the Forward Plan Extract.

The Head of Community & Culture provided the group with an update on The Year of Culture.

The group noted that the launch had been a success and HDC were receiving a lot of interest in, and applications for, the project.

The Leisure Strategy and Client Manager provided the group with an update on The Bridge leisure centre.

The group noted that the project was on schedule and that regular internal meetings were being held to assess and re-assess key risks associated with the project.

The Parks & Countryside Manager presented the Play Strategy 2017-27 to the group.

The group had a positive view towards the Play Strategy and were happy to see it go to Cabinet later in the month.

The Parks and Countryside Manager provided the group a brief overview of the plan to install outdoor gym equipment in Horsham Park at two locations.

The Parks & Countryside Manager informed the group that preliminary work had begun for the 2018 review of the Horsham Park Plan.

A public survey had been released online and so far had received 97% satisfaction.
