Agenda and minutes

To approve as correct the minutes of the meeting held on 25^th June 2019.

(Note: If any Member wishes to propose an amendment to the minutes they should submit this in writing to committeeservices@horsham.gov.uk at least 24 hours before the meeting.  Where applicable, the audio recording of the meeting will be checked to ensure the accuracy of the proposed amendment.)

The Minutes of the meeting held on the 25^th June 2019 were approved and signed as a correct record.

To receive any declarations of interest from Members of the Committee

To receive any announcements from the Chairman of the Committee or the Chief Executive

None.

To receive a report by the Head of Environmental Health and Licensing recommending the proposed fees for 2020/21 for licences issued by the Environmental Health and Licensing Department.

The Committee noted the report on Licence Fees for 2020/21.  The Head of Environmental Health and Licensing reported that set out at Appendix 1 of the report were the proposed fees for 2020/2021 for Licences issued by the Environmental Health and Licensing Department.  Once approved, the new fees would take effect from 1^st April 2020. The individual licence fees were calculated to recover the cost of issuing the licence and ensuring compliance with the requirements of the legislation. Taxi and Private Hire fees were the subject of a previous Report and were set until 31^st March 2021. There are other Licenses issued by the Environmental Health and Licensing Department where the fees were set by statute and could not be changed.

After a brief discussion, the report was approved.

RESOLVED

That the fees set out at Appendix 1 to the report would take effect from 1^st April 2020.

Items not on the agenda which the Chairman of the meeting is of the opinion should be considered as urgent because of the special circumstances
